Age Management

"hGH [Omnitrope, ect…]has a long and well documented history of clinical use as a replacement for endogenous growth hormone deficiency"

"In participants treated with GH compared with those not treated with GH, overall fat mass decreased (change in fat mass, -2.1 kg [95% CI, -2.8 to -1.35] and overall lean body mass increased (change in lean body mass, 2.1 kg [CI, 1.3 to 2.9]) (P < 0.001), and their weight did not change significantly."

"The anti-aging industry, on the other hand, is likely to welcome Omnitrope with open arms. In the $56 billion market for products that purport to turn back the hands of time, HGH is a star. Many anti-aging physicians believe it can improve memory, cardiac function, and body composition."

"Semorelin is the acetate salt of an amidated synthetic amino acid polypeptide, consisting of the first 29 of 44 amino acids of naturally occurring human growth hormone-releasing hormone (GH-H). Semorelin acetate is the last of the hypothalmic-releasing hormones to be identified and characterized, and represents the shortest fragment of GH-RH known to possess the full biological activity of the parent hormone…. Semorelin acetate for injection (GH-RH ) is similar to natural GH-RH with respect to its ability to stimulate growth hormone secretions in humans."

"Sermorelin Acetate growth hormone releasing hormone (GHRH) stimulates the pituitary gland by binding to specific receptors to increase the production and secretion of endogenous growth hormone (HGH)."

"By stimulating the pituitary it (sermorelin) preserves more of the growth hormone neuroendocrine axis that is the first to fail during aging."

Re: Testosterone Cypionate - "In all subjects there was an increase in fat-free mass (average, 15%; range, 10-22%; P = 0.02) and a decrease in fat mass (- 11%; range, -0.4% to -22.0%; P = 0.03). Muscle mass also increased in everybody (mean, 20%; range, 11-32%; P = 0.04) such that 65% of the increase in fat-free mass could be attributed to accretion of muscle. The accumulation of muscle was associated with a 56% (P = 0.015) increase in the fractional synthesis rate of mixed skeletal muscle proteins and a trend toward a similar increase in the fractional synthesis rate of myosin heavy chain (46%; P = 0.098). We conclude that testosterone replacement in hypogonadal men enhanced skeletal muscle mass by stimulating the muscle protein synthesis rate."

Re: Testosterone Cypionate - "Diminished libido was an inclusion criterion, plus each patient had at least one additional symptom (low mood, low energy, loss of appetite and/or weight). Nineteen men completed the trial and a majority of patients responded with regard to libido (89%), mood (67%), energy (71%), and appetite (67%) as rated by the Clinical Global Impressions Scale. With the exception of appetite, self and clinician rated measures showed significant improvement in all symptom domains. "
